Y-type filter works by installing on the inlet end of the device to remove impurities from the medium to protect the valve. The correct installation method is horizontal installation or vertical downward installation.
I. Operating principle
Y-type filter is an indispensable filter device in the pipeline system for transporting fluid media. Y-type filters are usually installed at the inlet end of pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves, globe valves (such as the water inlet end of indoor heating pipes) or other equipment to remove impurities in the medium to protect the normal use of valves and equipment. The Y-type filter has advanced structure, low resistance and convenient sewage discharge.
Y-type filter mainly consists of take-over, supervisor, filter, flange, flange cover and fasteners. When the liquid enters the filter basket through the supervisor, the solid impurity particles are blocked in the filter blue, and the clean fluid is discharged through the filter basket and from the filter outlet.
The reason why the filter mesh is made into the shape of a cylindrical filter basket is to increase its strength, which is stronger than a single-layer mesh, and the flange cover at the lower end of the y-shaped interface can be unsqueezed to regularly remove the particles and impurities deposited in the filter basket.
II. Installation method
Carefully clean the threaded connection surfaces of all pipes before installing the filter, and use an appropriate amount of pipe sealant or Teflon belt (polytetrafluoroethylene).
The end thread is not treated to avoid bringing sealant or Teflon into the pipeline system. The filter can be installed horizontally or vertically down to install the stabilizer to run.
